Adjustable Cluster Size ProFormat allows the user to change the cluster size of a partition from 1 to 128 sectors per cluster. In many case saving valuable disk space that might be utilized by a less efficient size. Edit Volume Label and Volume Serial Number ProFormat allows you to view and edit the volume label and volume serial number, it is the only solution to do so. You can also edit other FAT file system information such as OEM name. Low Level Format Wipes off all data on the drive by filling every sector with zeros. Normally a test for errors is done at the same time. Multiple Partitions If your storage has more than one partition, you can also use ProFormat to format each partition. Quick Format Quick Format removes files from the disk without scanning the disk for bad sectors. Use this option only if the disk has been previously formatted, and you are sure the disk is not damaged. Drive Recognition Test Lets you test to see if the software can see the drive. This is the first step in ensuring that the drive is properly installed and connected. Display Drive Details Tells you detailed information about the drive, such as its exact model number, firmware revision level, date of manufacture, etc. Test for Errors Analyzes the entire surface of the hard disk, looking for problem areas (bad sectors) and instructing the integrated drive controller to remap them.
